Directions from airport
From the Airport just follow the City Centre road all the way in. No turns until you reach Princes Street, Edinburgh's main street, with shops on one side and the Castle on the other. As you reach Princes Street, turn right onto Lothian Road and then first left onto King's Stables Road. Follow this road as it winds its way around the foot of the Castle. After approximately 400 metres you will come out into the Grassmarket, where the Apex International Hotel is located.
Directions from train station
Edinburgh's main train station is Waverley Station, located just off Princes Street. The Grassmarket is only a 10 minute walk to the south of the Station but we recommend that you take a taxi (5 minutes) as the approach is quite hilly in parts, especially near the Castle
Directions by car
If you are driving into Edinburgh the simplest way to get to the Apex International Hotel Edinburgh is to head for Princes Street, Edinburgh's main street. You will immediately see the Castle and the Grassmarket is located directly behind it. We suggest that you head to West End of Princes Street, to the main junction with Lothian Road. Just off Lothian Road you will find King's Stables Road. Follow King's Stables Road as it traces the foot of the Castle and you will drive right into the Grassmarket.
The Hotel is home to Heights Restaurant and the Metro Bar and Restaurant. Height's offers stunning Castle views, and a calm, relaxing atmosphere in which to enjoy modern Scottish cuisine. It is daily for breakfast and dinner, and is also available for private hire and dining.
Metro is a chic three storey bar and restaurant, which offers stunning views of Edinburgh Castle and the Grassmarket Area. Metro serves food without formality, but offers excellent service with style, and is open daily for lunch and dinner.
